2009, November 10th. Indian Islamic ‘expert’Dr. Zakir Naik: “There are slave women and you are allowed to have sex with them even without marrying them. There are many verses in the Koran that say you can have sex with your wives AND those whom your right hand possesses. Right hand possesses means they are your slaves. If you do not have the means to get married [to a free Muslima] then marry a slave and give her freedom as her Mahr [bride-price]. The Koran encourages [you] that if you don’t have the means to get married, marry a slave woman. Vice versa not possible, it [is] only for the woman slaves…The Koran talks about slavery as justified, why not? You know why? … Islamic law is far superior in how it treat the slave than the UN charter [of human rights].”
Comment: This specifically links the Koranic phrase “ those whom your right hand possesses” to sex-slaves and states that that sex-slavery is “far superior” to the UN charter of Human rights – which Naik wouldn’t support anyway being Muslim, he’d use the “Cairo Declaration” which circumscribes all rights by Shari’ah law, and its a Sham.
Thus Zakir Naik admits that Quran allows for:
1)Enslavement of women.
2) Sex with slave women even when you are already married [We call this adultery].
3) Rape of women. (By definition sex with a slave is rape)
4) Forced marriage (If the slave girl refuses to marry, then she will remain a sex slave. This is what muslims mean by marriages done by Muhammad. There is no word for rape in the entire Quran or hadith. They call it marriage. I call it rape)
5) Sex trafficking :- Implicit in the doctrine of Slavery is the trade of slaves!!! Most of the wars by Muhammad were to loot and collect slaves to be sold.
This is a big Shame, that we allow any amnesty to the muslim nations and compromise on human rights. Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, Jews, Shintos, Taoists, Sikhs etc Nobody asks for special treatment and compromise of the human rights.
Sex Slavery is a grave violation of human rights and a form of violence against women and childrenThis Simple fact doesn't get across a muslims thick Skull, because Muhammad practiced Enslavement of women, sex slavery and slave trade
Sex Slavery violates women’s right to life, liberty and security of person. The fundamental individual right to life, liberty and security of person is reflected in Article 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and Article 6 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR).
Sex trafficking is often referred to as modern-day slavery. Many countries have ratified various international conventions that create obligations to prohibit slavery and slavery-like practices.
While some sex trafficking situations may not involve the permanent ownership historically associated with slavery, they can involve exploitation and deprivations of liberty that render the situation tantamount to slavery. Slavery-like practices that can manifest in sex trafficking situations, including servitude, forced labor, debt bondage, and forced marriages, are also prohibited.
Some acts of sex trafficking involve conduct that can be understood as a form of torture, inhuman or degrading treatment, which is prohibited under theConvention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CAT), Article 5 of the UDHR and Article 7 of the ICCPR, and has attained the status of a jus cogens norm. The failure to protect women from sex trafficking also represents a failure to ensure women’s right to equal protection under the law. This is a well-enshrined principle of international law.
The Convention on the Rights of the Child, Article 35 states that “States Parties shall take all appropriate national, bilateral and multilateral measures to prevent the abduction of, the sale of or traffic in children for any purpose or in any form.”
